Volunteer Opportunity - OUT TO WIN LGBTIQ+ Campaign & Candidate Training – Photographer


ProudPolitics is a multi-partisan organization which aims to diversify the face & voice of Canada's politics by increasing the number of openly LGBT officials at all levels of government.  This year we are hosting  2018 Out To Win,  a non-partisan LGBTIQ+ candidate and campaign training for aspiring and current LGBTIQ+ and ally candidates and civic leaders, their campaigns teams, and friends and family.

We are looking for 2 volunteer photographers to capture the memorable moments of this day and make it a success.


Where:   Ryerson University - Faculty of Community Services - 99 Gerrard St. E., 6th Floor, Toronto, ON M5B 1G7 

When:    Saturday, February 10th, 2018

Event Time: 9am - 4pm

Volunteer Hours:   Shift 1: 8:30am to 12:30pm OR Shift 2: 12:30pm to 4:30pm


This volunteer position will involve taking photos of the event.  We are looking for:

-Wide shots of the room at it's fullest

-Moderators and speakers delivering training

-Attendees engaging with each other and speakers during training

-Candid shots of attendees talking and laughing

-Group photo of attendees, staff and speakers

-One last fun shot with the staff before we leave


What we’re looking for:

-Passion for photography

-Amazing attention to detail and a creative eye

-The ability to work independently and willing to support a strong cohesive team.

-Creative, energetic, and flexible volunteers

-Volunteer must have their own equipment

-An opportunity to have a deeper understanding of political campaigns

-An opportunity to meet ProudPolitic’s staff, our volunteers and potentially make new friends and connections

-Light refreshments will be provided

-TTC tokens will be provided


The conference itself is business casual attire, therefore, volunteers will be required to dress accordingly. All volunteers should wear shoes that they're comfortable standing in during their shift.
