ProudPolitics Canada is a multi-partisan organization which aims to diversify the face & voice of Canada's politics by increasing the number of openly LGBTIQ+ officials at all levels of government. www.proudpolitics.org
We’re now looking for someone to help plan our fall 2017 Out To Win training. We need a team player who can help us develop an exciting and impactful program to meet our participant’s needs.
Responsibilities
Specifically this volunteer position will involve:

> Support the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific projects.

> Create detailed work plans which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects and events.

> Coordinate volunteer recruitment and engagement
-
> Maintains records of the board and ensures effective management of organization's records
-
> Manages minutes of board meetings and are distributed to board members shortly after each meeting
-
> Is sufficiently familiar with legal documents (governance, by-laws, non-profit procedures.) to note applicability during meetings
-
> Provide administrative support to board meetings and team leads.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:

> Strong organizational skills, time and ability to meet deadlines and produce notes and minutes in a timely manner for distribution and action by the Board.

> Excellent notetaking, transcription, and computer literacy skills.

> Discretion with confidential information

> Decisive, innovative, and flexible with the ability to compromise and strongly service oriented.

Orientation and Training

A one-on-one orientation and training session will be provided before the volunteer’s first shift.

Ongoing support and mentoring will be available throughout the entire volunteer engagement.
Commitment

> This is an unpaid volunteer position that requires a minimum time commitment of 3-5 hours per week until October 31, 2017.
Location
-
> Work remotely from home, utilizing online platforms (Google Docs)

> Team meetings take place in downtown Toronto.
